Who are you? What do you want? — Each of us has special career needs that must be met for us to be satisfied. These needs are often called drivers or motivators. They stimulate your interest and drive you toward certain directions. That is why you choose certain subjects in school or sports. That is why we lean toward certain professions. Today, there are many free online assessments that will help you to identify these. If you can’t find a suitable assessment tool, then check in with a career counsellor. But no matter what, find out what motivates you. These motivational drivers include the need to have independence in your work tasks, being in a technical, a social or an entrepreneurial environment, the need to lead or manage a project and/or ensuring you have life-work balance.
If you have to ‘punish’ students, then don’t keep them in so that you have to supervise them. Give them useful work to do in their time so that you can have your breaks as a time to rest and relax. This punishment might be to report to the teacher on playground duty to pick up litter. Alternatively, they might report to you when you are on playground duty. You could remove privileges, have them on a behaviour card or on a behaviour contract.

A teacher cannot be a friend to his/her students. You are ‘in loco perantis’. That carries responsibility. Obviously, you need to be approachable. That means you need to have a friendly demeanour. Tell your class when and where you are available to see them about any issues they have and help they need.

Judgmental – Being a holistic consultant and teacher is not an easy job. Clients may come with various emotional issues and challenges. They might even make unreasonable requests during the session. Learning how to be detached and not be easily affected by other people energy is essential. If one is affected, then drama and argument may come into play, affecting us considerably and certainly jeorpadising the clarity we should have. We should therefore be open and honest in knowing where our own weaknesses, biasness, prejudices, needs and preferences are, and be aware that these are not projected upon our client through our dowsing and answers.

In fact, when I look back on this decision, I can laugh at myself wholeheartedly. After all, I decided to become a teacher because I liked my uncle Jack. He was a school superintendent in Manitoba when I was growing up and I admired him. And, I wanted to earn a university degree because no one in my family had taken that route.

A small aside: the Magna Carta room was closed when we got there – I resolve to PLAN these visits better next time! During the visit we walked and talked at the student’s pace and to his agenda. Would all those people who have been healed by the past life readings ever have been healed?

golden teacher Men are not saints so who can avoid mistakes? It is most important to correct the wrongs. He who knows his sins and still does not repent cannot return to Heaven. If one accumulates merits first but sin later, all merits will not be counted. If one sins first but accumulates merits later, merits can offset sins. If one corrects previous wrongs and then accumulates merits, all his merits will be recorded. If one has a lot of sins and few merits, he will be cast into the great catastrophe. Merits in Heaven are counted in this way so he who repents and corrects wrongs before accumulating merits is a true pillar of Heaven.
