Give your child some time to try and sort things out. Children are adaptable and are capable of finding ways around problems they have in school. Sometimes the ways they choose work, sometimes they don’t. But always give your child a chance to work things out for themselves before you jump in to provide support. I suggest that you give your child up to four weeks to try and work things out. That gives them time to try new ways of working and to settle into one that suits them.
Remember, students are self-centred. Many believe that because you are correcting their behaviour that ‘you are picking on them’ and/or ‘you hate them’. You might get that impression from them too. Don’t take it personally. It’s just ‘the nature of the beast’. Let what happens in the classroom stay there.
When you are practicing tai chi, move slowly and continuously and use intent to move beyond the physical part of the form. This helps to develop a strong mind-body connection. Qi gets stronger as it continues to flow, just like the force of water gets stronger as it flows downhill. If you stop moving during the forms, your qi also stops moving.

The water from the natural hot springs are pumped up from below the ground and are considered healing. I’ve seen people drink the water even though it has a slight smell like sulfur. Strangely as a kid when I use to melt sulfur and other stuff from my chemistry set I use to always get a cold after accidentally inhaling the fumes. But here I have only had good experiences at the baths — no side effects at all from the sulfer, people even drink this water for health (I tried it twice).
When we stop obsessing about how difficult teaching our subject or students or whatever is, and start obsessing about adding enormous value to the lives of our students – our success rates soar – and as an added bonus, teaching becomes much more pleasurable.
People come and go as they want (in some sessions) and no one is judging — except possibly you. The air outside is clean and clear and crisp. The golden sun is rising and the mist moves over the cliffs and mountains casting shadows or playing with the forms and crags — every moment a new scene–a new view. Life is happening!
